When shipping containers and project cargo, the weight can be determined relatively easily by weighing the individual containers or individual goods. When loading bulk cargo, determining the total weight is somewhat more difficult.\u00a0<\/p>

The following are used:<\/p>

  • Weighbridges to determine the mass of each individual truck transporting the bulk goods.<\/li>
  • Conveyor belt carts that record the weight of the load while the goods are being loaded.<\/li>
  • Draft Survey: Here, according to the Archimedes principle, the weight of the cargo is determined based on the changed draft of the ship.<\/li><\/ul>
